The diving in the Solomon Islands is excellent. Their remoteness means that the dive sites are unspoilt. WWII wrecks, caves, coral gardens and immense biodiversity of marine life, coupled with hardly any divers, make or a great trip.
Many divers planning to go to the Solomon Islands will from today require evidence that they have been vaccinated against measles before they can enter the country.
If you are travelling from or via Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, the Philippines, American Samoa or Samoa, you must be vaccinated at least 15 days before arriving in Solomon Islands. Failure to show documentary proof of vaccination may result in you being unable to board your inbound flight or even deportation. This includes just changing planes in the listed countries.
Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of six months from the date of entry into Solomon Islands.
