One of the most prestigious underwater photo competitions in the world, Ocean Art offers over £75000 of prizes to professional and amateur underwater photographers.
Sixteen categories ensure all photo disciplines and cameras compete fairly, while the 75+ winning images create a portfolio of the best underwater photos of the year.
Winners can choose from the long list of prizes, so successful entrants can be sure of winning the prize they want.
The competition comprises 16 categories, including a Novice DSLR category, three compact camera categories and three mirrorless camera categories, giving underwater photographers of all levels a chance to win a great prize. Unique categories include Supermacro, Cold/Temperate Water and, the only group of animals to get their own category, Nudibranchs. More traditional categories include Wide-Angle, Macro, Marine Life Portraits and Marine Life Behaviour. The Underwater Art category encourages creativity in post-processing.
The Ocean Art prizes are provided by almost 30 scuba diving resorts, liveaboard dive boats and underwater gear manufacturers. Some of the best prizes include: liveaboard trips to Indonesia, Palau, Australia and the Solomon Islands; dive resort stays in the Philippines, Indonesia, Fiji, Micronesia, Bali, Cozumel and the Bahamas. Gear prizes are provided by Sea & Sea, Think Tank Photo and Ikelite.
